Schedule

Operations begin at 1800 UTC (1400 EDT) Saturday June 23
If we begin setup before 1800 UTC we will need to cease operations 1800 UTC Sunday.

Some setup will need to be done on Friday, in particular delivery of the port-a-jon.

No other setup is likely to be required before 1200 EDT Saturday.

From the rules:

Field Day is always the fourth full weekend of June, beginning at 1800 UTC Saturday 
and ending at 2100 UTC Sunday.  Field Day 2012 will be held June 23-24, 2012. 
  3.1. Class A and B (see below) stations that do not begin setting up until 1800 UTC on Saturday may 
       operate the entire 27-hour Field Day period. 
  3.2. Stations who begin setting up before 1800 UTC Saturday may work only 24 consecutive hours, 
       commencing when on-the-air operations begin. 
  3.3. No Class A or B station may begin their set-up earlier than 1800 UTC on the Friday preceding the 
       Field Day period.

Operation

We will operate under the callsign WC2EM in the 2A Class (two transceivers operating OFF of commercial power)

We will also operate a FREE (not counted toward the 2A limit) VHF/UHF station.

4.1.2. Free VHF Station: All Class A entries may also operate one additional transmitter if it 
operates exclusively on any band or combination of bands above 50 MHz (VHF/UHF) 
without changing its basic entry classification.

Opportunities for Bonus Points

  • 100% Emergency Power: 100 points per transmitter (DONE)
  • Media Publicity: 100 bonus points
  • Public Location: 100 bonus points (think we qualify)
  • Message Origination to Section Manager: 100 bonus points
  • Message Handling: 10 points for each formal NTS style originated, relayed or received
  • Satellite QSO: 100 bonus points
  • Alternate Power: 100 bonus points
  • W1AW Bulletin: 100 bonus points (CW)
  • Site Visitation by an elected governmental official: 100-point bonus
  • Site Visitation by a representative of an agency: 100-point bonus
  • Field Day Youth Participation 20-point bonus (maximum of 100) each participant age 18 or younger that completes at least one QSO.
  • Get-On-The-Air (GOTA) Station: When a GOTA operator successfully completes 20 QSOs, they receive 20 bonus points.
